Dr Anna Benson is a very experienced GP with a variety of family medicine skills. She has an interest in every aspect of medical and mental health care for all ages. She genuinely loves consulting, meeting and helping patients to feel and become well. She is approachable and very experienced, having qualified over 20 years ago.
Dr Benson believes in listening, treating the patient as a whole and getting to the crux of the problem. She believes in the balance of medication, lifestyle and therapy. With her experience she can help with complex issues. She believes in preventative health and likes to holistically manage cases without always prescribing.
She has worked extensively in mental health, general practice, general medicine, elderly care, cardiology, intensive care, renal medicine, infectious diseases, respiratory medicine, stroke medicine, sexual health, family planning and is a qualified GP trainer. She works as a clinical advisor in the NHS ICB, and an NHS GP. Dr Benson has qualifications in family planning contraception (coils, implants) and minor surgery as well as three Batchelor’s degrees in medical science, medicine and surgery, and a Master's degree in medical education.
